After sponsoring Comic Gong in 2023 with gift certificates, we were excited to extend them the offer for custom trophies in 2024 after our success with trophies for other events the previous year. Comic Gong was very excited to accept! The event runs 3 tiers of competition: children, teens and adults. Along with the team, we elected to create custom trophies
For 2023, SMASH (Sydney Manga and Anime Show) requested a 25cm trophy for the Best in Show in their Cosplay Masquerade. SMASH's 2023 theme was The Moon, so this was our main starting point for the piece. Throughout promotion, SMASH had been sharing a lot of art inspired by anime/manga such as Sailor Moon, featuring nighttime city skylines
For 2023, SMASH (Sydney Manga and Anime Show) requested a handful of medals for the smaller awards in their Cosplay Masquerade. After discussion witht the team, we agreed we wanted the medals to all look cohesive, but also wanted them easily identifiable by category on-stage to make it easier for the MCs and judges to hand out.
